Why do you read TFP everywhere?

What does it mean and why is it so important?

A TFP shoot (Time for Prints or Time for Pictures) is a creative collaboration between a model and a photographer in which the photographer waives his usual fee. Instead, the model receives a selection of professional photos as payment for her services. Both parties invest time and commitment to create stunning images that they can use in their respective fields.

In a TFP shoot, both models and photographers are motivated to achieve exceptional results. Any costs incurred, such as travel costs, equipment, outfits and props, can be borne by both parties. For models, this is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable shooting experience and obtain high-quality images. Photographers, on the other hand, have the opportunity to implement creative ideas, try out new techniques and expand their portfolio.

In order to clearly regulate the collaboration, a TFP contract is drawn up in which all details, such as the scope, use and number of edited images, are recorded in writing. In my contract, I state that a total of around 15 edited images will be made available in high-resolution afterwards, which have been edited in my style (black and white). Unlike some other photographers, you can easily use images from our shoot for your social media purposes - even if the platforms have a paywall (e.g. Patreon, OF, JFF, etc.). There are photographers who only allow this with a contribution - with me, the decision is 100% up to you.
